Change Windows 7 Product Key From the Command Line

 You can change the product key of using the command line. Just follow the procedures described below:

1. Click on the Start button and type cmd
2. You’ll see a program shows up with the name cmd
3. Right-click on it and select Run as administrator
4. cmd will start in administrator mode
5. Now type the following command in it:

slmgr.vbs -ipk <type your product key here>

Replace <type your product key here> with the product key you have. Your Windows 7 product key may look something like this: 6RBBT-F8VPQ-QCPVQ-KHRB8-RMV82. Therefore, your full command should look like this: slmgr.vbs -ipk 6RBBT-F8VPQ-QCPVQ-KHRB8-RMV82

6. Now to activate Windows type the following:

slmgr.vbs -ato

7. Wait a few seconds and you’ll see multiple prompts saying that Windows has been activated with your product key.
